Krux Analytics
Website & Marketing Consultant
Krux Analytics is a medium-sized mining software company. While at working with Krux, I helped make the Krux website more user friendly, updated certain html attributes, created more interpretable information matrices, and designed posts for LinkedIn.
I implemented every change to the Krux site using a draft page to ensure the alterations were successful and to verify that no other web attributes would be negatively impacted. This method also allows managers to view and confirm changes before the site goes live.
With reference to the "For Resource Owners table" (Left), I carefully removed the fourth column titled 'Professional' with checkmarks by deleting the corresponding HTML elements. This caused some challenges as the deletions affected and skewed other HTML elements. However, I successfully completed all alterations.
Krux Download Confirmation Page
In the original site design, a user clicks the download button in the footer and a sample of the Krux software is downloaded immediately without the user's consent. This concept does not indicate what the user is about to download, making the action seem invasive to the user's computer.
A newly added secondary download confirmation page indicates what the user is about to download while giving the user the option to proceed or to go back.
Table Simplification for Brochures
Krux participated in many fairs and conventions each year, and I was tasked with making several alterations to the brochures. They had two different brochures—one for drillers and one for explorers—with slight differences in the information.
Before — The original table was designed to fit a web page. The titles lack emphasis, and the spacing is too wide.
After — My task was to slim it down, emphasize the titles, make them more specific, add a footer with contact information, and format it for brochure size.
Posts for LinkedIn
Each screenshot is a sample LinkedIn post promoting various company events, featuring graphics that are either original or created by altering existing company images with illustrated shapes and text. I also collaborated with my manager on the copy for each post.
